About Me

Hi, I’m Peter Rigali — a data engineer/consultant with a strong focus on Python, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

I spend a lot of time working with:

  • Python (automation, data processing, utilities)
  • Tooling and workflows that make development more reliable

This site is where I document things I’ve learned, patterns I use frequently, and solutions to problems I don’t want to re-solve twice.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Small utilities and scripts
  • Design notes and architecture examples
  • Experiments and proofs of concept

Some content is polished, some is intentionally rough — the emphasis is usefulness over perfection.

AI-Augmented Development

I use AI coding agents as a development accelerator to speed up execution. I provide the direction, domain expertise, and quality control while the AI handles boilerplate, debugging loops, and repetitive operations.

How I use it:

  • Data engineering — ETL pipelines, API integrations, data lake organization
  • Web scraping — Building and maintaining scrapers with structured output
  • Analysis — Exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, report generation
  • DevOps — Repo management, CI/CD workflows, environment configuration
  • Documentation — Summarizing code and publishing write-ups to this site

What makes it work:

  • A persistent environment configuration ensures every new AI session inherits my coding standards, file conventions, and project rules
  • Reusable workflows codify repetitive tasks so the AI follows consistent patterns across projects
  • I maintain a centralized data lake architecture that the AI operates within — it doesn’t decide where data goes, I do

If something here helps you or sparks an idea, feel free to adapt it for your own use.
